Recovery gloves are a small buy and a smart one. Winch line, muddy straps, sharp recovery points and hot gear all punish bare hands. A recovery damper is another worthwhile piece of kit, especially when using steel cable or any setup where stored energy and line failure are a concern.

A recovery bag is not just for neat storage. It keeps gear together, cleaner, easier to inspect, and easier to reach when the weather is ordinary and patience is wearing thin.
