Drag to rotate
Jowl 3/4 split shackle. Two hooked halves instead of a screw pin: open, drop in your strap or rope loop, rotate, pull. No tools, no pin in the mud.
Jowl 3/4 split shackle paired with the Mohawk 2.0 forged-aluminium receiver. Slides into any 2" (50 mm) hitch, giving you a rated 10,000 lb recovery point in seconds.

Fit is decided by your hitch receiver (2" or 2.5") or your bumper's D-ring pin hole, not by the badge. Tap your vehicle for the kit that matches.
Most Australian tow bars and all 1500-class US trucks run a 2" receiver. The Mohawk 2.0 slides in and pins with a standard 5/8" hitch pin, two pin positions for any hitch. 10,000 lb WLL on both parts.
2500/3500 and F-250/350 run a 2.5" Class V receiver. That takes the bigger 7/8" Jowl (13,000 lb WLL) on the Mohawk 2.5 (18,000 lb). Not the 3/4 kit on this page.
Fits any D-ring mount with a 7/8" pin hole and up to 1-1/4" between the ears. Four nylon isolators are in the box to centre it on thinner tabs. Not sure of your tab? Measure the hole.
Vehicle list is a guide to the usual factory and aftermarket receiver size. Check your receiver opening before ordering. Not sure? Send us your year, model and tow bar and we'll confirm.
No pin to unscrew with cold, muddy hands, and nothing to drop. The two halves swing open, your strap or rope loop goes in, rotate, and it's closed. Under ten seconds, no tools, and the shackle never leaves the bumper.
Forged chromoly body with a Grade 8 pin. 10,000 lb (4.5 t) working load limit. Built-in pull-angle stops show you when the angle is wrong before you load it up.
Rubber anti-chatter pads and nylon isolators stop the rattle every bolted shackle makes on corrugations. Powder coat in 15 colours matched to common truck paint codes.
The Mohawk 2.0 is a warm-forged aluminium receiver with a big-radius connection point that won't chew soft shackles or synthetic rope. Rotate it 90° with the included spacer and it takes a Class I/II tow ball (300 lb tongue, 3,500 lb GTW).
Patented design. US Patent D1,050,874. Forged chromoly body, Grade 8 pin, 10,000 lb WLL. Sold in 15 colours in Australia only through Maverick Overland.

How hard is it to install?
The shackle needs no tools at all. The Mohawk 2.0 slides into your 2" receiver and pins with a standard 5/8" hitch pin (Mohawk Hitch Pin and Hitch Lock are sold separately). Five minutes, no drilling.
Does it need an alignment or affect my lift?
No. It is a recovery point, not suspension. It bolts to nothing on the vehicle, so lift height, wheel alignment and your warranty are untouched. The only thing to check is the receiver size, 2" or 2.5".
Will the 3/4 Jowl fit my bumper tabs?
If the tab has a 7/8" pin hole and the ears are up to 1-1/4" apart, yes. Four nylon isolators (2 × 3 mm, 2 × 2 mm) are in the box to centre it on thinner tabs. Measure the hole if you are not sure.
What is it rated to?
10,000 lb (4.5 t) working load limit on both the Jowl 3/4 and the Mohawk 2.0. The breaking strength is far higher; the margin is there for shock loads. Never recover from a tow ball.
Will it rattle?
No. Rubber anti-chatter pads sit between the hooked halves and nylon isolators take up side play on the mount. Keeping it on the bumper full time is the point.
Can I still tow with the Mohawk in?
Yes. Rotate it 90° using the third pin hole and the included spacer and it accepts a Class I/II hitch ball with a 3/4" shank: 300 lb tongue weight, 3,500 lb gross trailer weight.

Use the Jowl 7/8 with the Mohawk 2.5 instead (13,000 lb and 18,000 lb WLL). Tap "Ram 2500 / 3500" or "F-250 / F-350" in the fitment picker above for that kit.
Where does it ship from and how long does it take?
Orders dispatch from our Gold Coast base and usually arrive in 3–7 business days with tracking. Shipping is $15 to QLD, NSW, ACT and VIC, $20 to SA and TAS and $24.95 to WA and NT for parcels up to 10 kg, free on orders over $300.
