BD Diesel
Stop Hard.
Abbotsford, British Columbia. BD invented the diesel pickup exhaust brake in 1989 and has spent every year since building the transmissions, turbos and fuel systems that let a loaded truck work hard and stop harder. Now landing in Australia through Maverick Overland.

Exhaust Brake
In Canada
BD started life in 1972 as Valley Fuel Injection in Abbotsford, British Columbia — a diesel injection shop working on trucks that actually earned a living. The BD name arrived in 1989, and with it the part that made the company: the first exhaust brake built for the diesel pickup market.
That is still the thread running through the catalogue. BD builds for trucks that tow — heavy, often, and down hills. Exhaust brakes and air intake shutdowns to control a loaded rig. Built transmissions, torque converters, valve bodies and coolers so the driveline survives the load. Turbos, manifolds, injectors and lift pumps to feed it. It is a towing and reliability catalogue first and a horsepower catalogue second, which is exactly why it suits Australian conditions.
Most of the range is manufactured in Canada rather than sourced offshore, and the fitment data is engine-specific down to the year, cab and transmission code. Get the fitment right and it bolts on. Send us your build details and we will confirm the right part number before you order.
