This shackle receiver set up is perfect for trucks, utes and 4WDs with a 2 x 2 inch hitch that want to run a 7/8 shackle.
JOWL 7/8 SPLIT SHACKLE
The 7/8 Jowl is the big-truck version of our patented split shackle. Open the two hooked halves by hand, drop in your rope or strap eye, rotate to engage both sides and pull tight. No pin to lose, no soft shackle needed and no need to pull the shackle off your bumper or receiver to make a connection.
It keeps a traditional D-ring shape with built-in pull angle stops that remind you to keep your pull angles low. Rubber anti-chatter pads stop rattles on rough tracks, and six nylon isolator washers (3.0mm, 2.0mm and 1.0mm) centre the shackle on any width of mount. The pin is held by two M22 cap screws that take a 3/8" socket, and two 6mm hex to 3/8" drive adapters are included. Only one screw needs to come out to fit or remove the shackle.
The forged chromoly body is rated to 5.9 t (13,000 lb WLL) and fits any 2.0 inch Class III, IV or V shackle receiver with a 1 inch pin hole and a mount width of 1.49 inches or less. All colours are interchangeable, so you can mix two halves to suit your rig.
Mohawk Receiver 2.0 Heavy Metal - Black Hole
The steel version of our Mohawk 2.0 receiver, machined from carbon steel to take 7/8 shackles on a standard 2 x 2 inch hitch. Two hitch pin holes adjust how far it sits out from the bumper, a third lets you rotate it 90 degrees, and the large-radius connection point protects soft shackles, ropes and straps from abrasion.

The "Raw Dog" uncoated option is ready for primer and paint or powder coating so you can colour match your vehicle. Only coat the Jowl hooked bodies, not the pin, as coating the pin will affect assembly. (***Please note: this option will show signs of weathering and rust if left uncoated.)
