Mohawk Receiver 2.5 x 3/4
A version of our Mohawk 2.5 shackle hitch mount for heavy-duty truck owners who want to run either a 7/8" or a 3/4" tow shackle from the one receiver.
To suit both sizes the shackle mount is narrower, matching the jaw opening of a 3/4" shackle. That gives it a slightly lower working load limit than the dedicated Mohawk 2.5 x 7/8, at 15,000 lbs. Like the rest of the range it is warm forged from 6082 aluminium with the grain flow aligned for strength, and 6082 has better mechanical properties and corrosion resistance than the more common 6061.
Two 5/8 inch hitch pin holes give you two mounting positions in any 2.5 inch hitch, and a third hole lets you rotate the receiver 90 degrees for extra recovery and towing options.
The main mounting hole has a large radius on its outer edges, so it won't tear soft shackles, synthetic ropes, tree savers or strap eyes the way sharp-edged receivers can. The spined outer perimeter adds material where it's needed and gives the Mohawk its distinctive look.
